Forget that cancer slur on screwcaps

Why is it that New Zealand is such a common battleground for the holy war being waged between advocates and opponents of screwcaps? I am always being sent vicious correspondence on the subject.
You may have caught news of the latest anti screwcap salvo, fired by senior NZ wine writer Keith Stewart. In a reasonably influential publication there he recently claimed that the liners of screwcaps could mess up our endocrinology and cause cancer. Fiery stuff.
Please do not worry however (not that I have any axe to grind pro or anti screwcaps in general). Leading oncologists point...
