Great value from Alsace

Alsace is one of the French wine regions that clearly works hard to promote its wines with care and attention. Tastings in London seem to come round often but the organisers carefully avoid excess by picking on specific styles or varieties rather than swamping tasters with anything and everything.
The tasting described below took place in London towards the end of last year and focused on Crémant (white and rosé), Riesling and Gewurztraminer. It is quite some time since I last visited the region so I was delighted to taste more than 70 wines – most of those on offer...
