Greek wines today

What a pleasure and surprise this tasting of selected Greek wines in London turned out to be. I was so fascinated by the range and distinctiveness of the dry wines that I hardly had time to taste the sweet ones. Generic tastings can be boring but this was never dull, even though, or perhaps because, producers were allowed to show only five wines each. (A few of the wines listed below were tasted on another occasion.)
Passion, distinctive varieties and careful viticulture and winemaking were much in evidence. On the whole, I took most pleasure in the whites...
