The majority of the tasting notes below are from Ebner-Ebenauer, a particularly interesting and ambitious producer in Austria's Weinviertel run by the talented winemaking couple Marion Ebner and Manfred Ebenauer. See their website for more information. The wines are available in the UK from Marc Wines and have great intensity and integrity. There are some reviews of 2009 Grüners from Salomon Undhof.
But I have also added a few on Grüner Veltliners grown far from Austria. As Austrian Grüner has become so popular – not least with fashion-conscious sommeliers the world over – this variety seems to be being planted...
