Any minute now upwards of 700 tasting notes on 2003 red and white burgundies will be published in the tasting notes section here, backed up by an overview in wine news. Since I tasted so many of these wines twice or even three, occasionally four times, I reckon these notes are based on about 900 individual tasting experiences – almost all of them conducted in London in January 2005 in less than two weeks.
Sounds pretty exhausting even to me, but actually I found the vintage less punishing on the palate and brain than I was expecting from a heatwave...
