Huet tasting, Vouvray back to the great 1947

I have long had a soft spot for great Vouvray. In fact I have a bee in my bonnet that the wines of the entire Loire Valley (with the probable exception of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé) are unjustly overlooked outside France. Huet Vouvray was one of the wines I included for a special profile in my second major book, The Great Wine Book (Sidgwick & Jackson 1982). Gosh, I have been around a long time.
It was great news therefore that the late Gaston Huet's son-in-law, Noel Pinguet, who is now in charge of this recently-sold domaine, was to come over...
