According to Daniel Thomases, another large Montalcino property, Castiglion del Bosco, has just been sold to Ferragamo, the footwear and fashion house which already has a winery in the Arno river valley between Florence and Arezzo (and, incidentally, in whose Portmeirion-like Tuscan model village the European offices of the American Wine Spectator magazine are located).
