Moueix on the 2003 vintage

At a decidedly delicious vertical tasting of Ch Pétrus organised by the Institute of Masters of Wine in London today, Christian Moueix, arch-proponent of classicism in Bordeaux, said that the region's top growers "didn't know what to think about the 2003 vintage" because it was so extraordinary – with the hottest summer since the mid 17th century.
