M&S champagne bargain

Marks & Spencer hide their light under a bushel shock. For years their in-house champagne has been supplied by Oudinot, an Epernay firm founded in Avize in 1899, now part of the same group as Jeanmaire and Beaumet champagnes and, while not being top-drawer, a very solid source of wine. One of the best champagne NV buys for Christmas in the UK therefore must be Oudinot NV, the standard – not a special cut-price blend – reduced from £14.99 to £9.99 until the end of December. (Last year it was reduced from £13.99 to £9.99.)
