Every year since 2002 the Institute of Masters of Wine has organised a tutored tasting immediately before its Annual General Meeting in London. This year's well-attended presentation of top German Spätburgunders (Pinot Noirs) in Vintners' Hall on 10 Sep was particularly interesting as this is a wine style that is so popular within Germany that those of us living elsewhere hardly ever get to see the wines.
