This is the second of three reports on 2017 Mosels. See also Mythos Mosel – VDP members. Enno Lippold took this picture of the Ürziger Würzgarten on a chilly winter's morning when fog overhung the river. 

The Bernkasteler Ring was the first growers’ association in Germany to sell its wine through auctions. Every year in June they hold a presentation of their current vintage at Kloster Machern at Bernkastel-Wehlen. This year for the first time I missed it, not having checked the calendar of events when I booked my holiday.
