The quality of Hungarian wine today may be one of the wine world's better-kept secrets, for reasons outlined in Reasons to go Hungary.
The following tasting notes were taken on three different occasions during our recent weekend in Budapest. The most interesting perhaps was a collection assembled by Budapest's leading wine educator, Gabriella Mészáros, of wines she thought represented some of the best and most representative of those being made today.
