We continue our series on the 2014 vintage in the Rhône with a look at Vacqeyras, both whites and reds, a total of 69 wines tasted blind at the wine organisation's offices in the village shown here, run as efficiently as its counterparts in Châteauneuf and Gigondas.
In terms of altitude, Vacqueyras is between Gigondas and Châteauneuf and seems to have benefited from a little bit more ripeness than the former, although some red wines of Vacqueyras were a little simple and soupy. The styles...
