There was quite a contrast in 2019 between the wines of Gigondas and those of Vacqueyras, which all too often showed harsh tannins that suggested over-extraction. La Mourre de la Caille from La Ligière impressed me, as did Le Clos de Caveau’s excellent Fruit Sauvage.
