Concluding our theme of Germanic wines this week, these are the 86 tasting notes I took at last month's Great Riesling Tasting in London on wines that did not come from Germany. Vintages vary considerably, as do styles. It was notable that there were very creditable examples on show from such relatively unlikely countries as Chile and South Africa. And there was a particularly strong showing from both Australia, which has a long history of Riesling production, and New Zealand, where fine Riesling is still a relative novelty.
