Seriously cheap champagne

Sainsbury's have just applied a further discount to their Louis Daumont buyer's own brand champagne, from £9.99 to £7.49, allowing them to boast that it is half the price of its original £14.99.
You would have been mad to pay £14.99 for it, and I don't find it as fresh as Thresher's £9.99 Dubois-Caron, nor nearly as good as the seven further champagnes under £15 a bottle recommended in tomorrow's article in the FT and wine news, but it certainly is a snip...
