Sixty years of Ch Figeac

Our second offer in this Older Bordeaux Week focuses on one of the most distinctive and traditional properties on the right bank. This magnificent vertical tasting took place over a dinner in the private room at Taillevent in Paris on 14 Dec 2007 to celebrate the secret of our host Thierry Manoncourt of Figeac's apparent eternal youth. The wines all came direct from the château and there had been no recorking.
As Michael Broadbent pointed out, this was a unique chance to see a range of vintages over 60 years which had all been made by the same owner/winemaker...
