This newish sister restaurant to The Square, Chez Bruce and La Trompette around London has a particularly good selection of wine by the glass (all too rare in Britain), and some extremely good cooking to boot. FWW Grüner Veltliner Smaragd 1999 at £5 for an 17.5cl glass, £6 for same of Jermann's Pinot Bianco 2000, £3.50 for Quinta do Crasto red 1999 from the Douro and £6.50 for Allende Rioja 1998, plus quite a few more.
This light, modern restaurant with a manager with a spookily good memory is just outside Kew Gardens tube and North London train station.
