The Wine Society – first for value

Jancis writes Richard and I shared the 'work' of covering the latest presentation of finds from The Wine Society, the co-operative wine-buying group based in Stevenage just north of London. As usual, it was extremely enjoyable, with no fewer than 22 of the wines tagged below as GV (good value) – one-third of the total tasted (although we included the six red bordeaux under £20 in Affordable bordeaux in 2017 published on Monday). This is surely a record?
We hope that these reviews are of interest to those resident outside Britain since they are of wines that are rarely exclusive...
