The wines Ed Sbragia is leaving to tend

Ed Sbragia, Beringer Vineyards’ winemaker/wine master since 1984 and a 32-year-veteran of the Napa Valley winery, is stepping away from his duties to focus on his own brand, Sbragia Family Vineyards. Beringer is now part of Foster’s wine empire.
Sbragia, 59, is not abandoning Beringer – he’ll be a consultant – yet he says the time is right for him to give full attention to his family’s Sonoma County-based winery, and give Laurie Hook, the Beringer winemaker since 2000, her time in the limelight.
