Just after the anniversary of the failed coup against Turkey's hard-line premier Erdogan, architect Umay Çeviker, who has written for us several times before, brings us up to date on the threats to the wine scene in Turkey.
One of the few things those of us living in Turkey seem to agree on these days is the colour of our cars. More than 90% are either white, black or grey and 63% are white, even though in our dry, dusty climate this is clearly not the most logical choice – so unwilling are we to be seen to step outside...
