Denis Dubourdieu’s particularly memorable name is known throughout the world of wine – not least because he is a professor and eminent research scientist at the oenology faculty of Bordeaux university. He has been credited with being responsible for revitalising the white wines of Bordeaux and he consults all over the world.
But he is also a considerable wine producer on his own account, owning Chx Doisy Daëne, Cantegril, Haura and Reynon as well as Clos Floridène, all south east of the city of Bordeaux itself. A sizeable proportion of the output from the Dubourdieu family's 135 ha of vines...
