Update on flavourings in wine

Most significant development in the story of suggestions that some South African wines, especially Sauvignon Blanc, have been doctored by illegal added flavourings is that apparently the entire regional tasting panel of the Wine and Spirit Board in Robertson (not one of the coolest areas) resigned some months ago following the Board's failure to address their concerns about some of the wines they had rejected for official certification. This at least directs the finger of suspicion, though doubtless to many completely innocent wine producers and just one or two culprits.
