Forgive my obsession with the subject of wine writers. It is perhaps at least understandable since I am one.
I recently mused in both Wine books shrivel and England 0, Belgium 1 on the parlous state of wine book publishing. But our west coast correspondent Linda Murphy has drawn my attention to news that Gary Vaynerchuk, of Wine Library TV fame (see Gary, the arch Vayniac), has just signed a seven-digit, 10-book deal with Harper Collins.
