VDP – minus four, plus three

Late last month media agent Louis Eschenauer announced that the famous Pfalz wine estate Koehler-Ruprecht of Kallstadt had decided to renounce its membership of the association of German premium wine producers (VDP). The same step had already been taken in April by one of the founder members of the VDP Nahe when Dr Martin Tesch informed Armin Diel, the president of that regional chapter, that his estate no longer wished to work under the umbrella of the organisation.
Members come and go, but not with great frequency, and a termination of membership is in the great majority of cases determined...
