Warning labels on wine – a turn-off?

Interesting that just after Chris Carson’s speech urging the UK wine trade to put its house in order comes talk of applying warning labels to all bottles of wine in retail distribution in Britain. What do you think of this idea?
Or rather, what I am especially interested in is whether American purple pagers remember the impact of warning labels when they were first applied to all bottles of wine sold in the US? I remember when I first saw them in the early 1990s I was amazed and viewed them as a rather hysterical reaction and a visual...
