What I drank in the holidays

The Christmas and New Year festivities already seem all too distant, do they not? Conversation among wine lovers is now more likely to revolve around how many days or weeks of abstinence are in order. (Not that many are possible for those of us limbering up for imminent total immersion in 2003 burgundies – I will publish my notes early next month but meanwhile see my 2002 burgundy tasting notes.)
But it seems a shame to consign some great experiences merely to the bottle bank. I am still mentally wallowing in what was probably the single finest wine I was lucky...
