Wine dinners in Paris

In my recent account of the pleasures of drinking old wine I mentioned www.wine-dinners.com, the series of fine wine dinners organised, usually in Paris by François Audouze, a very jolly man whom I met at the Paris screening of Mondovino and at the tasting of the 1865 Bouchard burgundies.
I cannot stress enough what a delightful character this Parisian wine nut is. The antithesis of the long-faced, furrowed-browed, introspective type of wine collector, M. Audouze believes in sharing his unusually catholic collection of mature fine wines, by no means all of them from France. Indeed...
