The Wine Society in the UK is famous for offering value but this was a particularly good showing.
The Society's buyers chose to show off 48 of their recent acquisitions to us scribes (I tasted the three Koyle Chileans separately) at the end of last month and they yielded a hugely impressive nine wines rated GV for good value, nine VGVs (very good value) and two wines – the Gaglioppo and a petit château red bordeaux – were VVGV (very, very good value), I thought.
