Lidl's French fancies

Tomorrow Lidl supermarkets across the UK are putting their latest parcel of French wine on sale, and bargain-thirsty wine drinkers will doubtless be at their door when they open at 8 am, so successfully has the discounter publicised this £30 million splurge on this one-off selection of wines, some at very keen prices.
The selection is impressively broad – all the famous regions are represented, but there are also relative obscurities from the Jura, for example. And while it's perhaps not completely unheard of to get St-Émilion or Crozes-Hermitage or Sauternes at under £10 a bottle, it is far rarer...
