A very generous flowering followed by disease pressure has, we hope, been saved by a fine September.
On 13 September winegrowers in the Côte d’Or were more than a full week into the 2023 harvest. For many the job was already finished; for many others the job had just started. At Arnoux-Lachaux at one end of Vosne-Romanée, they were done and dusted. At Cathiard, across the village, the first picking bins were being stored for the night. It was not until 29 September that the last grapes were picked in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. Like the September sky seen above...
