The last time I met François Millet was over some barrels of assorted de Vogüé 2014s at his previous gig, just around the corner. The disarmingly softly-spoken Millet was winemaker at Domaine Comte de Vogüé in Chambolle-Musigny for more than 30 years, hanging up his pipette there with the 2017 vintage at the ripe young age of 64.
