Laithwaite's on both sides of the pond

It’s 10 years since Jancis wrote about Britain’s biggest independent making inroads in the US. Then, as now, it seems impossible to get any specific commercial information about Laithwaite’s performance on either side of the Atlantic but the alliance with US importer Lionstone International seems to be going strong and their wines are currently distributed in 31 states. The Laithwaite's UK website points out that they are 'the UK's no. 1 home-delivery wine merchant' and the US site boasts that they 'deliver wine to over 700,000 customers in the UK, Australia, Germany and here in the US'.
