I explained last May in 2008 white burgundy – ready or not? how Sarah Marsh MW has started a series of horizontal tastings of mature or maturing burgundy vintages with bottles kindly donated by the growers who are anxious that their wines should be more often drunk after many a year in bottle rather than too young as many of them are today. I hope those who can still afford to drink burgundy, or at least have some in their collections bought in the era when burgundy was less expensive than today...
