Lots of heavy hitters here. Latour has excelled itself again, and yet Lafite is a stunning wine and continues to make no concessions to any style other than its very own. I also loved Carruades this year. The Mouton stable continues its consolidation under winemaker Philippe Dhalluin with Clerc Milon being rather a star this year. Pichon Baron was not a standout though when I had the chance to re-taste it non-blind in London I could see how its exceptional charge of tannins are currently in masking mode.
