Warning: this will be one of my shortest diaries ever as nothing much happens in August, I’m delighted to say.
As usual, we had to vacate our house in the Languedoc for a week while our older daughter and husband filled it with their university friends and their increasing number of progeny. So, as you may have gathered if you read Nick’s reviews of restaurants in Kinsale and the little Irish port of Baltimore, this year we headed off to south-west Ireland, where it was delightfully cooler than the Languedoc and the people full of Irish charm.
