Loving IPNC in Oregon

Lovely weather, wines, food and people here in McMinnville, Oregon for the International Pinot Noir Celebration. I was here for the second one in 1988, then in 1994 when we filmed it for the Jancis Robinson's Wine Course BBC series. The weather seems to have got warmer but the welcome no cooler and the grounds of Linfield College are near idyllic. In the picture is Friday lunch in the Oak Grove. Days are very hot indeed until about 7.30 pm when the temperature starts to fall really quite fast. Good for grapes.
Last night's grand dinner was almost incredibly high quality for such numbers from a tent. Tonight it's the famous salmon bake. More to come.
