New Zealand's Pinot Noirs

See wine news for an overview of the current state of play of New Zealand's dominant red wine grape. These tasting notes are arranged by regions, roughly north to south, and alphabetically by name of winery within region. The notes are peppered with references to how 'Burgundian' these various offerings are which may rile some New Zealanders, but I would argue that New Zealand has yet to establish a valid alternative national style of Pinot to rival the best of wines produced in Pinot Noir's homeland. It may well do eventually, and I'd be the last to decry it.
