Six magnums of the Douro Boys' Cuvée 2005, plus three hours' private surf tuition and lunch on the beach with beach boy Miguel Roquette of Quinta do Crasto (he's also the sales and export director and one of the three sons of the Roquette family that owns Crasto, and a little football team called Sporting Lisbon), went under the hammer for €1,900 at the Douro Boys' auction last week.
Other unusual combinations were 18 magnums of the Cuvée 2005 and a football match against the Douro...
