Barolo 2004 – it's all true
Thursday 10 July 2008
Much has already been written about the consistently high quality of Barolo 2004. Not all the wines have been bottled or made available for tasting yet, but the ones I have tasted so far in London and described below have left me in no doubt that these are lovely wines – some already amazingly silky even though they also promise real longevity. Unfortunately they also command high prices, and the small volumes of some of the vineyard-designated wines mean that they sell quickly.
