Véronique Sanders was in London last month to show a small group of us wine writers her last 10 vintages of Ch Haut-Bailly in bottle plus a cask sample of the 2010. (Her 2011, 'a small crop', was currently fermenting.)
Married to Alexander Van Beek of Chx du Tertre and Giscours in Margaux, she is one of Pessac-Léognan's most insistent and hard-working ambassadors (rivalled only by the Cathiards of Ch Smith Haut-Lafitte).
