Cup winners from Virginia in 2012

In preparation for a report tomorrow on vintage 2012 in the east coast state of Virginia by Jim Law of Linden Vineyards, I present my tasting notes on the winning wines from this year's Governor's Cup.
Of all the states in the union, Virginia is the one whose governor, Bob McDonnell, is most pro-wine, having identified wine and the tourism associated with it as a means of raising revenue and preserving farmland in this beautiful and historic part of the world (just south of Washington DC).
