The following are notes on a tasting given by Mark Davidson at the annual Society of Wine Educators' gathering in Sacramento, designed to show how well Australian wines can age. (I referred to it in a brief note in Richard's article on Yalumba – wines that last published a week ago.) It certainly achieved its aim, even if, in the case of the Rieslings, it also highlighted the deficiencies of cork. For your interest, I have retained all the background information provided.
