Fiano – Australia v California

It started with a tweet. I had just got back from Australia having literally tasted hundreds of Australian wines from Italian varieties and my antenna was still hyper-sensitive to all of this, when a tweet from Melissa Sutherland (@melissa_ful) caught my eye: ‘So excited to drink your Fiano, @maglaab. Thank you!’ Her linked Instagram picture (right) showed a case of Ryme Lago Vineyard Fiano from California’s Sonoma County.

I am not sure whether Twitter has proved to be really relevant for wine lovers but many wine professionals, me included, have become addicted to it, tweeting incessantly about any wine topic...
