From Okanagan in the smoke

22 Jul update – By the time I flew out of Okanagan yesterday late afternoon, all the fires seemed to have been extinguished and all that was left was an unusual haziness. It could well be that there will be no long term effects at all on the 2009 crop – and I am saying this off my own bat, not at the behest of any representative of the growers, I hasten to say. The wines have certainly come a long way since I tasted them in 2004 and wrote How good are BC wines? I shall be publishing tasting...
