González Byass, having celebrated their 175th anniversary last year by bottling 175 cases of Tio Pepe Fino En Rama (without filtering or cold stabilising it), have just launched a range of even more specialist En Rama sherries, the Palmas range described below, after a note on their second, 2011 release of Tio Pepe En Rama bottled last spring.
These Palmas wines, so called after the palma chalk mark (see left) made on casks, or butts, identified as superior, are notably older and even more characterful than the Tio Pepe En Rama. ...
