I am dropping you a note to put you ahead of the pack in respect of a new study from one of the gurus of cardiovascular epidemiology Al Klatsky. In this month's issue of The American Journal of Epidemiology <2003 158 285-295> in a paper called 'Wine, Liquor, Beer, and Mortality' they have dissected the mortality risks associated with the three beverage types in a huge group.
