Grosse Gewächse 2007

German wine specialist Michael Schmidt very kindly offered to share with us his tasting notes taken at the official launch of the top German wines of the 2007 vintage in Wiesbaden at the end of last month. He has been attending this event since its inception four or five years ago and comments:
