Grower champagnes move into the mainstream

We have long championed growers’ champagnes as an interesting and often better-priced alternative for wine enthusiasts to the big names of Champagne. The array of wines available in the US and UK continues to grow, particularly as more and more importers take advantage of the series of tastings in Champagne every April described recently by Tim Hall in Champagne's young ones strut their stuff. Our picture, taken from the Laherte website, shows past generations of this grower's family pressing champagne grapes.
