Harlan and Screaming Eagle

Below are notes on what are arguably America’s most famous wines, often discussed but rarely tasted. Just a very few thousand cases of Harlan are produced each year and only several hundred of Screaming Eagle. Both are allocated not sold to buyers on their mailing lists. Indeed the Screaming Eagle website is mainly devoted to the process of signing up for the waiting list for their mailing list. Below I explain how on consecutive days I came to taste these wines.
Both wines are voluptuously California in style, and Harlan in particular...
